Many of us can relate to the following situation: despite our best efforts, we just can’t seem to lose those last few stubborn pounds.
However, a new treatment has been developed thanks to current developments in medical aesthetics technology.
With over 6 million treatments administered, CoolSculpting is by far the most popular non-invasive fat-reduction treatment available.
Explain what CoolSculpting is and how it works.
Controlled cooling in the form of CoolSculpting is the only non-surgical method of fat reduction authorized by the Food and Drug Administration.
In the early 2000s, two researchers at Harvard University found that some children whose diet included popsicles also developed dimples. The researchers found that the popsicles were successful in freezing and killing off localized areas of fat. Cryolipolysis is the science behind CoolSculpting, and it is based on the theory that cold may selectively kill fat cells without harming the skin or other tissues nearby.
Submental fat, abdominal and flank fat, thigh fat, breast fat, back fat, under the buttocks (banana roll), and upper arm fat are all targets of the CoolSculpting fat-freezing process, which also helps to shape the body by reducing the number of fat cells in those places.
A roll of fat is put between two circular panels at a CoolSculpting treatment, and the fat is cooled to a temperature below freezing. Afterward, a massage is performed, which further disrupts the fat cells and improves the outcome.
The fat and dead cells will be processed and eliminated by the body on its own in the weeks following treatment. Because the fat has been eliminated permanently, the effects are deemed permanent. As a result, the distribution of fat cells will not change in the untreated areas.
It’s important to note that CoolSculpting is not a means of reducing body fat. When a person consumes fewer calories than they burn off, they experience weight loss. The fat cells thus lose volume while maintaining the same total number. On the other hand, CoolSculpting helps you attain a more desirable body shape by decreasing the number of fat cells in the treated area. Because the treated fat cells are no longer present, the effects are deemed permanent.
