A New Way to Get Rid of Unwanted Fat: Coolsculpting Training

  • by

The experience of dieting is familiar to many of us. We get our sweat on. We guzzle gallons of water and do three times as many sit-ups. Still, there are times when it seems impossible to lose the weight we’ve put on as a result of getting older, having a baby, or switching to a less active line of work. Frustrating as heck!

The use of either to get liposuction (which may be pricey and at least moderately intrusive depending on the type) or learn to live with obstinate, undesirable fat. However, these days there’s CoolSculpting: Those in the medical aesthetics or laser technician fields who have completed CoolSculpting training and are now able to administer the treatment to their clients are reporting high levels of success and client satisfaction (up to 95 percent) with the process that was invented using a popsicle. The answer is a popsicle.

A team of Harvard researchers noticed years ago that some kids who ate popsicles had dimples on their cheeks. In addition to being completely tempting, the dimples soon became a scientific phenomenon as researchers discovered that the dimples were caused by the freezing and elimination of tiny pockets of fat. The fat cells themselves were the only thing that was hurt, not the skin or any tissues around them. The idea of CoolSculpting is this.

To date, CoolSculpting is the only noninvasive fat reduction therapy to uses freezing technology to permanently reduce fat cells without the need for surgery. CoolSculpting uses apoptosis (selective fat cell destruction) to eliminate stubborn fat in problem areas like the stomach, love handles, muffin top, inner and outer thighs, back of bra fat, above and below the derriere, knees, upper arms, double chin, and more. Fat cells are removed from the body via the lymphatic system after being frozen to induce apoptosis (cryoprotective barriers prevent the skin from freezing). The best part about CoolSculpting is that there is zero need for anesthetic, cuts, needles, or recovery time.

As more and more people seek to improve their appearance without undergoing invasive cosmetic procedures like liposuction, noninvasive alternatives like CoolSculpting have become increasingly popular. The use of non-invasive methods to diminish excess fat has surged by almost 42% in the last two years alone. Coolsculpting’s capacity to reduce fat in specific regions is remarkable enough, but the technology also has the potential to improve overall cosmetic results (tone, texture, etc.) by stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin fibers over time. Although liposuction is still the most effective method for removing substantial amounts of fat, it does not tone or tighten the skin.

Does CoolSculpting have any drawbacks? No, not at all. To get the best results, the number of treatments needed will vary from client to client and from area to area. Clients have reported experiencing severe cold in treatment locations, but that feeling has subsided after 5-10 minutes as the area becomes numb. As the applicator uses a strong vacuum to drive fatty tissues into the applicator cup, the client may also feel some tugging, pulling, or light pinching during treatment. Some transitory redness, minor bruising, and discomfort may also occur.

Initial effects from non-surgical body contouring treatments are said to be excellent, but upkeep is crucial to keeping the results looking their best. A nutritious diet, frequent exercise, lots of water, and routine maintenance treatments are necessary for the best outcomes.
