Estheticians and Skin Care Specialists Are Among Yahoo’s “25 Best Jobs in 2015.”

  • by

Yahoo! News ranked aestheticians and skin care specialists as one of the “Top 25 Best Jobs” to have in 2015. It is estimated that there will be approximately 17,000 job opportunities in the United States. According to Yahoo! News, “they don’t get paid much compared to other U.S. News Best Healthcare Jobs,” despite the fact that the average compensation for these occupations is about $29k per year.

There is no shortage of estheticians and skin care experts who would welcome a pay raise. Cosmetic lasers have become increasingly popular as anti-aging technology has improved. A growing number of people are choosing laser hair removal over temporary methods like waxing because of the long-lasting results it provides. Cosmetic lasers can treat a wide variety of skin issues, including acne, melasma, age spots, sun damage, wrinkles, rosacea, enlarged pores, and sagging skin.

Laser treatments for the face cost more than waxing, facials, and other similar services performed by estheticians. The cosmetic laser technology used in these laser treatments can produce striking improvements rapidly. Because the bipolar energy used in eMatrix radiofrequency skin tightening penetrates deeply into the skin and stimulates collagen and improves suppleness, the results for patients are dramatic. Cosmetic laser energy can penetrate deeper than what can be achieved with facials and other topical skincare treatments.

Prices for these more luxurious services often range from $500 to $700, while facial costs anywhere from $40 to $80. This means that estheticians with laser certification can expand their service offerings and increase their earnings.
