What Are Schools of Aesthetics?

Students who want to become qualified beauty professionals can enroll in esthetician schools, often known as aesthetics schools. Cosmetology schools and aesthetics schools, however, are not the same thing.

Although general aestheticians can be cosmetologists, this is not always the case. Aestheticians are more likely to concentrate on skincare. This distinction should be kept in mind as you select your job route.

Additionally, cosmetologists offer a wider range of beauty services. They could do your hair, nails, and makeup, for instance. On the other side, aestheticians might provide treatments including microdermabrasion, facials, skin analysis, and occasionally cosmetics application.

What Happens After Aesthetics Schools?

Students may work as aestheticians in a variety of contexts once they have graduated from aesthetics colleges. They might, for instance, work in spas and salons or settings with a more clinical focus, such as the offices of plastic surgeons. Even some people might decide to start private practices.

But some artists might desire to “skill up.” The best ways to do this are through medical aesthetics courses, such as those that lead to certification as an aesthetic injector or cosmetic laser technician. Anyone can complete our cosmetic laser technician program in as little as two weeks, and medical professionals can complete our Botox certification in only one weekend.
