Who is Eligible to Use Botox?

  • by

Cosmetic injections of Botox (Botulinum toxin type A) are performed by medical doctors, dentists, nurses, and PAs after they have completed specialized Botox training. Professional medical practitioners who are interested in Botox training must first provide documentation of their medical education. Botox training courses will stress the importance of injecting Botox safely to medical practitioners. This is so that all clients are treated according to standard procedures and all necessary precautions can be taken to ensure their safety.

Botox “parties,” “Botox bars,” and esthetician injectors are all things consumers should exercise extreme caution when considering. You should never get Botox injections anywhere other than a medical clinic. This is because healthcare facilities such as clinics and spas are equipped to handle the disposal of used needles and other medical waste. Furthermore, estheticians are not considered medical practitioners and hence are not allowed to legally administer Botox. It is not advised that you visit an esthetician in search of Botox.
